This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is between you (“the User”) and Cocktails and Conversation Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, Company No. 11644587 (“the Company,” “we,” or “us”), regarding your use of the Cocktails & Conversation app (“the App”).
By creating an account and using the App, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
Cocktails and Conversation Ltd has a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive users. We do not permit harassment, hate speech, threats, or offensive material of any kind. Any user engaging in such behavior will be permanently banned without notice.
1. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes only, in accordance with this Agreement.
2. User Eligibility
You confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this Agreement.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Use the App and attend events respectfully and lawfully
- Comply with any event-specific rules and codes of conduct
- Treat other members with kindness and respect
- Maintain a polite and considerate tone in your interactions
3.1 Visibility to Other Attendees
By using the App and attending events, you understand and agree that limited elements of your profile — such as your first name and profile photo — may be visible to other approved attendees of the same event. This information is displayed for the purpose of facilitating introductions and enhancing the community experience.
If you choose not to complete your profile, or are not yet approved, your name may appear as “Guest” with a placeholder image. No other personal data is shared without your explicit consent.
This limited visibility is restricted to verified users attending the same event and is not accessible to the general public.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Share or resell your account
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute the App
- Harass, threaten, or defraud others
- Upload or share illegal, offensive, or obscene content
- Impersonate another person or create a fake identity
5. Moderation and Reporting
We reserve the right to monitor, moderate, and remove user content that we deem inappropriate, and to suspend or ban users who violate this Agreement. You may report inappropriate behavior, offensive content, or suspicious activity using the in-app Report button or by emailing support@cocktailsandconversation.co.uk.
6. Membership & Payments
If you purchase a membership or event ticket through the App, you agree to pay the fees displayed. Refunds and cancellation terms will be clearly explained on our website or within the App.
7. Events & Participation
Participation in events is at your own risk. We are not responsible for the behavior, actions, or conduct of other attendees. You agree to behave respectfully and understand you may be refused entry or removed from an event if you break event rules or disrupt the experience for others.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to any event at our sole discretion, including but not limited to reasons relating to failure to meet the dress code, inappropriate or disrespectful attitude toward entry staff or other guests, intoxication, or any unsafe or disruptive behavior.
8. Use of Images and Event Filming
We regularly film and photograph our events for marketing and promotional purposes. By attending our events, you agree that Cocktails and Conversation Ltd may capture images or video in which you appear, and use this content in promotional materials across websites, social media, and advertising.
If you would like to be excluded from promotional images or video, please notify the event host upon arrival. We will do our utmost to avoid featuring you in any published materials, in line with your rights under UK GDPR.
We process this data under our legitimate interests for promoting and documenting our events, while respecting your right to object. If you later wish to withdraw your consent or object to the use of a particular image, please contact us at support@cocktailsandconversation.co.uk, and we will take reasonable steps to remove or blur your image where feasible.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, at our discretion, if you breach this Agreement or if your behavior negatively impacts our community.
10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Cocktails and Conversation Ltd will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or from attending events.
11. Privacy and Data
We collect and process your personal data according to our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to our data practices.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Blocking and Account Deletion
Blocking Users
If another user makes you feel uncomfortable or behaves inappropriately, you can block or report them directly within the App using the “Block” or “Report” buttons on their profile or in your chat. This will prevent that user from seeing your profile or contacting you.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from within the App by navigating to Settings > Delete Profile. This will permanently remove your profile and personal data from our system in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you experience any issues, you can also contact us at support@cocktailsandconversation.co.uk for assistance.
15. Push Notifications & Communications
By using the App, you consent to receiving push notifications and messages regarding your account, event reminders, matches, and important updates. You may adjust your notification preferences in your device settings or within the App.
16. App Updates & Feature Changes
We may occasionally update the App to improve functionality or add new features. These updates may happen automatically. Continued use of the App after an update signifies acceptance of the latest version of this Agreement.
